In relationships, negative cycles can take hold. Distress between partners can trigger reactions that further intensify each partner’s distress. This creates a self-reinforcing pattern that leaves couples feeling isolated, powerless, and like they're not on the same team.
Our primary goal is to break this negative cycle, slowing down interactions to gain a better understanding of how each partner's reactions reflect their underlying longings, fears, and vulnerabilities. These feelings, although profoundly painful and powerful, often go unacknowledged and unspoken.
By accessing these emotions and communicating from them, we open the door to transforming the patterns that perpetuate these painful feelings, leading to the initiation of a positive cycle, where each partner steps toward the other to create a more harmonious, loving and secure connection.
